Natural gas is currently deregulated for commercial users and electricity is being phased in for commercial users on a first come, first serve basis. Businesses still are served by the same utilities that have always delivered and serviced you, but the supply of the fuel can now be provided to your utility on your behalf at competitive rates compared to what you have been paying before. Savings vary and not all areas are served for gas and electricity. Electric allocations will be relaxed in future years, Mid 2010 being the first phase of the new deregulation effort.
